So I made a piece. A piece that might just seem like another typical piano solo, but it has a special meaning to me. Back in 2013, I got a dog. His name was Reedy, named after Reedy River in Greenville. He was amazing, truly. His half-brother, Pawley, would always run away. Since Reedy loved just about everything he saw, he would always find him, and 'bring' him back. On April 28, 2024... he unfortunately passed away. It came out of the blue, and it stung pretty bad. He was fine the night before, but the next day he just looked miserable. He would stand still, and stare at basically nothing. He wouldn't get up after laying down. I took him to the vet... and it turned out... He had spleen cancer.
And only 1 hour to live.
I know... he won't see this as he's a dog, but there's something about dedication that makes it feel like he will see it. So... Reedy, if you see this... I love you buddy. And, hopefully, they have all the butter you can eat in dog heaven. And, to those of you who see this who AREN'T dogs... thank you for listening! Enjoy!o see this who AREN'T dogs... thank you for listening! Enjoy!
