Ahhh, finally. The first full piece I've written in over a year. This one I've been working on since May 7th, so quite a while now. At the time of the piece being posted (June 5th), the piece has been done for a few days now. I'm hoping to get this piece published under Alfred Music! So, yeah, keep on the lookout for it on YouTube! (If it does get published, that is.) As I said, this is my first piece that I've written in over a year, and it's probably one of my, if not my best work yet, and I have a lot to say about it, so let's talk! First off, it's only woodwind instruments, which is pretty cool. (I really like woodwinds.) Secondly, it's in 5/4. I did this piece in 5/4 because I wanted to test funky time signatures. In fact, this piece was originally nothing more than a test for 5/4! But now, it has turned into something much more. I plan to make this into a series of pieces, based on the seasons. (Vivaldi 2.0?) Each piece will have a funky time signature like this piece did, and will use all of one instrument type, like this one did. (Ex. Brass, Percussion, Strings, Etc..) Oh, and I almost forgot to say this. This piece is written on A2 paper. The reason I did this is because with every instrument having dynamic markings under it, a single system couldn't fit on U.S. Letter paper. I tried using U.S. Legal, as it is much longer, but it was too long, as it can fit one system with so much room, but it couldn't fit 2, so too much space was being wasted on the page. A2 has enough room to fit 2 systems comfortably while not wasting space. So yeah, that's Suite of Summer. I hope you enjoy it. :)
You may use the piece in videos, media, or any other project as long a you include the name of the piece and the person who wrote it (TheGreatMusicMak...
