Red: Hello Everyone! I originally was not planning on submitting anything for this competition. I thought the challenge was too hard. However, Un decided to do it, and I got roped in with it! Our idea here is not of a traditional maze, but of a casino. Casinos are classically known to try to trap you in for long periods of times due to their addictive qualities. We decided that that was a unique and fun way to conquer this challenge. I honestly don't expect us to even place in the challenge, this is not an easy listen, and the flat judges most likely will not all enjoy this. However, I feel like we did a great job, and I'm super proud of our work! P.S. I bet it'll be pretty easy to tell which sections are primarily mine, and which are Un's lmao
Un: Hey yall! I'm excited to lose yet another challenge, and even more excited to be doing it with my friend red :D The idea to make this a casino maze stemmed from me wanting to not write music and instead spending half an hour writing a slot machine sound effect. Meanwhile, Red was writing the carnival section and had no idea what the hell I was doing lol. Anyways enjoy, I don't wanna overstay my welcome in this desc ;)
Special thanks to Lucas Smith for suggesting the rhythm we used for the main melody (double swung shuffle pattern), and to Lorenzo for some effects we used here (dice rolling, and one of our slot machine sounds). You guys both helped influence this piece to be the best it can be!
Anyway, thank you for all of your support, and I hope you enjoy!
