EDIT: Changed title in case previous one didn't meet bonus point requirements.
this piece took a while to start as i didn't have motivation and lacked a vision of where to take it and how to encapsulate the feeling of a maze. in reality i finished it in five days (seems impressive but this is a throwaway so i can try harder, sorry everyone) but i only started the second half of may. luckily i made it in time and hopefully this places top 10, who knows.
note that there's no real story behind this, just the immersion of the listener into a maze-like environment. the main star here is the piano which changes and introduces reoccurring melodies which are echoed by the orchestra to symbolize the nature of mazes and different paths that confuse and disorient whoever partakes in it. the different sections of the piece symbolize the different stages of a maze from newfound excitement to confusion, exhaustion, and finally all-out frenzy until the end is reached, also symbolized by the dissonance and whiplash effect of the ending to this scherzo.
speaking of which i know this isn't in 3/4 and doesn't follow the scherzo theme but this whole piece is a joke so oh well
see you in june sillies, i'm sorry if i've let anyone down.
