Set in Bb Minor, This piece tells the solemn tale of a trapeze artist doing an act. using slow and tender melodies with fast and exhilarating sections, this piece paints the moves and jumps into your head.
conductor notes: in measures 5-15, 33-40, and 89-98 have the same clarinet play the three solos. The same thing with the flute except in 94-98 have a second flute join. you also have some notes from an oboe soloist in 36-40 and 98.
you can have up to three maracas to make sure that in the shaking sections you will hear a constant sound. you can also have two people on the marimba, one as the main player and one to hit the third note when there are three.
in 28-29 and 83-84 have the clarinet section play the bottom notes and have your soloist play the top ones.
From 52-71 have all of the resting sections join the clapping. have the resting instruments do the bottom beata and have the resting percussion do the top ones. and divide the original clapping section into two groups and have one do the top and one on the bottom.
in measure 71-77 have your whole band play at the same volume so each section could be heard. then in 78-82 make marimbas play louder.
