The piece tells a story, a short story about the last performer of the circus, Johnny, Johnny the clown they call. As he perform, the pianist perform along him as well, playing Johnny the clown's theme. the piece starts with a smooth glissando, then the theme was introduced with a waltz like rhythm on the left hand. it's not waltz, but more like a jazzy circus style, i call it that. as the time pass little by little, the music gets more intense and more fun while Johnny the clown perform. As Johnny the clown is about to perform his last trick, the pianist made a fast scale run as a transition to the coda to which match Johnny's final performance. The coda is fun, intense, and filled with a little bit of spooki-ish sound as Johnny is about to finish his trick. The music then ends with a short, fast scale run once again, and with a big and loud chord which is used at the beginning of the coda.
