Set in Bb minor, this piece has the rifts of energy and power that resembles the lone embarkation of a bird's migration. in this piece thrills and trills build the song, the pretty melodies and fragile jingles keep you on your toes.
conductor notes: In measures 4-15 and 38-43 use the same soloists and if a part is not marked as a solo then have the whole section play it.
in 22, 43, and 69 make sure that you can hear some space in-between the eighth notes. you almost want it to sound like the instruments are laughing.
in 51 make sure that anyone playing G octaves isn't too loud, it can be easy to be too loud. make sure that the glockenspiel is heard over everything.
at any part where the marimba has four notes you can have a second marimba player to help (optional)
