For this song, I incorporated two different songs. I'll begin with the most obvious.
Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day. I choose this song because Green Day is one of my favorite bands, and I know the song very well and knew I could start somewhere with it. I also choose this song because to me, it's a song that's looking forwards for the future, and right now I myself am very much looking forwards with hope for the future. The motif for this song is in the bass part of the piano.
The second song, which is less obvious, is Yesterday by The Beatles. Just thought this song would make an interesting compromise to Wake Me Up When September Ends as it reflects on the pass, while Wake Me Up When September Ends focuses on the future. You could hear the first 3 bars of Yesterday repeating in the guitar part. I also really like The Beatles, so there ya go.
As any bonus information, I used a piano, guitar, electric bass, and drums, which are all instruments featured in Wake Me Up When September Ends and Yesterday.
The song is the same BPM as Wake Me Up When September Ends.
The song is called September's End because of the original title of the Green Day song Wake Me Up When September Ends. Basically, I just imagine this song being the end of September, sounding hopeful and happy.
