August 2024 challenge

In this short composition a short story is told. A story about my journey of falling in love with music and playing the piano for the first time. Though being featured later in the composition, the motif I chose to use was the finale from Beethoven's 9th symphony. I chose to use this specific motif because it was the first song I played on the piano. The reason I chose the scoring of this composition, is because Piano was the first instrument I learned to play. This score is in the style of a piano concerto with a feature organ. For bonus points, I also added in the main motif from the famous opening of Beethoven's 5th symphony. I also layered both motifs in 2 different spots to create an echo-like effect to show anguish in the beginning and the passing of time later in the composition.
