I guess this is it. I know I've kinda been lazy, and probably way too nice with the "deadline", and definitely should have published like last month. Or the month before. But here we are. I'm not very good at kicking people out of competitions, but I had to do it. Only two people will compete in this epic final round. Congrats guys!
Down to business...
This round will determine the grand champion of all the universe and get you not only bragging rights but also a shoutout on my bio for an indeterminate amount of time, promotions on different announcement scores, and maybe a collab(haven't decided yet.) But for now, your prize for making it this far is...getting to make one more song! And it should be a banger. The final round is...[drumroll]...a ragtime piano solo!!!!!! Ah, yes. I'm sure you're thrilled. It should sound similar to this->
Basically what you'd hear at your typical western saloon. Piano only please.
Here's what you'll be judged on:
Personal Enjoyment (How much I like your piece, based on many factors but especially how well it's written): (/40)
Fits the theme (how well your piece fits the description of a ragtime piano solo): (/30)
Measure count (at least 50 measures): (/25)
BONUS: Use a motif(doesn't have to be super obvious) from one of your other pieces in this competition. (5 points)
Just put your scores down in the comments by October 1st(ish)(which basically means by next year) and I'll post the winner asap(which probably won't be for a bit). I'll try this time guys i promise.
Anyways in other news I might finally have an actual piece out soon, I have 3ish big orchestrals in progress that are kinda wrapping up. I could possibly have one done(don't quote me on this)this weekend if I work kinda quick.
OK, that's all from me for now. Enjoy this wonderful prompt! Tell me if I missed anything lol
