The Covert Basement || October Challenge

You wake up in the middle of a forest,
Your eyesight is hazy as you slowly get up stumbling. It's deathly cold outside, the type of cold that makes you feel as if someone is piercing your skin. you see a mansion. Its looks old due to the faded, red rotting wood. You step inside and hear a muffled breath. You think nothing of it and think that it's yourself. You spot a covert stairwell to a basement, and climb down the stairs. Instantly you are greeted with numerous spiders and dead corpses. You want to back out but you see a dark figure locking you in. You run every way, it's a mineshaft and extremely dark. You can barely see and feel spiders creeping up your arms. But then you spot a closet. You hide it there knowing something is out for you. When you come out, everything seems normal, and there is an exit to the forest to the right. You finally make it out and then you see the dark figure behind and run as fast as you can (violin arpeggios) and make it to a safe place but left still in doubt that you are safe for the rest of your life.
