Hello everyone :] This is my November challenge entry, and I'm really excited to share it with you all! I chose the season fall (or autumn if you're fancy like that) because it's my favorite. It's like spring but a bit colder and a lot less wet and gross, also wind in the fall just... hits different, yk? and there's nothing quite like a sunny fall day.
I used mainly xylophone and percussion instruments like the congas and maracas to represent the leaves falling, and I used low sounding instruments like the bassoon and bass drum to represent fruit falling from the trees and just the harvest part of the season in general. Brass like the trumpets and trombones are meant to represent the strength of fall winds and the chill they bring, whereas woodwinds like piccolo, oboe and flute represent the calmer, more beautiful side of wind that makes plants sway. Instruments like the harp and violin represent the coming cold, and I use these instruments a few times throughout the piece to indicate changes in temperature and such.
Well that was a lot of yapping, but I hope ya'll enjoy my piece!
