Movement 1: You wake up; it’s the first day of spring. You aren't sure how you know, but you know. You remember the vague, nostalgic memories, which saddens you, but you know you can make more of them. Movement 2: In movement two of this piece, the listener is transported through the roaring sensation of being part of nature. It might seem like it should be in a movie or movie style, but it is meant to portray the listener through that. Movement 3: In movement three, the listener experiences the wonders of nature: birds chirping and green everywhere. This emits a sense of play, and the viewer feels triumphant as if it were good.
The flutes and violins represent the cheerfulness of spring, underlying everything. The soprano sax is YOU, the listener, being transported through the season. The moments when it has a feature are when the listener or viewer's emotions are fully tapped into the music. Snare drum is meant to imitate the rain Various backing tracks are meant to help the viewer progress through the season, as they are just background experiences in a vast environment.
