@quantumjoss I had a lot I wanted to say about this arrangement and still do. Like a lot. Enough that it doesn't fit in the description box.
The short version is --
I had a couple things I wanted to do with this piece.
Firstly, I wanted to do justice to the original, which is frankly a really really good piano solo. From what I understand it was based on stillness in the unnatural, the man-made, the things that should not be but are. I wanted to preserve some of that style whilst still making it new, and fresh. Of course I also wanted to add my own style and flourish to it, putting some personal touches on. I really wanted to push the boundaries, experiment with new tech and styles, like the reactor sounds I made out of the synth bass. I feel as though Quantum Joss is always pushing the envelope, evolving his style and seeing what flat is capable of. I wanted to encapsulate that here with this piece, and even if it hasn't exactly worked out the way I want it to, I am very pleased with the outcome of this piece. I hope I've done justice to the original and honored everything I had hoped to honor, and most of all I hope you enjoy "Nuclear."
Happy listening,
Evalv
