Inside a Heartbeat

This is the first piece I've submitted for a challenge. Rather than going for a conversation, I went with more of a mental battle in one's head as feelings progress and the letter is written. Please enjoy!

As you walk through the typical routine of your life, the simple melody of repetition plays. The same melody that plays every time you wake up, go to work, and fall asleep, the feeling of being trapped in a cycle. As someone comes
into your view, a new melody is played. The moment passes but you can't stop thinking about them. The old melody your heart hummed changes. The emotions get more intense, vibrant, and louder. You begin typing or writing your feelings into a letter to express the emotions that have arisen. As you finally finish the letter, you see the person you saw earlier holding hands with someone else. The feelings subdue as your heart falls back into the same rhythm and hum as always. Nothing has changed.

The Alto Saxophone represents the main melody of feeling love.
The piano represents the way the heart/feelings change as the experience goes on.
The violin represents the thoughts that continue to distract you.
The drum set represents the typing or writing of the letter.
The timpani is a literal sound of the heart.
The rest of the instruments add effect and make it sound good.
