Jin no Riyuu 刃の理由 || Fuminsho no Shinsatsuha 不眠症の寝殺刃 OP1 (Intro Size)

Nerudo Tensui (天水 寝る道) was your average Shintokyo citizen. Over a hundred years earlier. magic had first been discovered on Earth. Within 5 years, the economy of the entire world boomed to insane heights, and quickly, even nations in poverty prospered. However, in the year 2919, an extraterrestrial race known as the Necronians—zombie-like beings that were impervious to all physical damage and only killable by destroying its highly protected core—invaded Earth and wiped out 99.999998% of the Earth’s population. The last city standing—then just a special ward in Tokyo—was the city of Shintokyo. Thanks to its highly engineered magical barrier, the residents of the city were protected in the onslaught. A hundred years later, in August of 3019, the city still stands, thriving, while still protecting itself from the Necronians. However, one day while Nerudo was coming home from school, a Necronian horde broke through the wall and stormed the city, and one highly advanced Necronian impaled him with a street lamp after dismembering him. A serpentine phantom with nine heads appeared before Nerudo. He was given a choice: to die, then and there; or be reborn as a tool for the serpent, sacrificing his sleep for temporary immortality. Nerudo chose the latter, and was given a new body, free from any muscle atrophy he had before, and continued down his new path of being Drenn. “Fuminsho no Shinsatsuha” tells this story of Drenn, as he fights the Necronians alongside his friends Nevarrah and Alwyn.
