REQUIEM AETERNUM DONA EIS: "eternal rest to grant them"
this piece is meant to finally put a lot of complicated feelings to rest.
this piano solo was composed for the february 2025 challenge. composed in one evening, this piece is not about confessing through a love letter, but about finally letting a love go. not everything is meant to be, and i think this piece sums up my feelings for a particular person. i ignored playability with this one because i just wanted to have fun with the piece and write something beautiful. i hope you all enjoy "unrequited requiem."
it is unresolved at the end because even if i have let things go, i don't believe anything can truly be put to rest.
