'Star Spangled Banner' is an adaptation of the famous piece, written by Francis Scott Key for the United States during the War of 1812. This piece shows the simplicity yet skill required of the Violoncello, written for special occasions such as military presentations, ceremonies, etc. This piece includes thumb position, flats and high positions some Cellist may not be comfortable with playing. P.S as a cellist myself, I recommend using the Suzuki method, listen to the piece, pause on certain moments, find that note, and continue playing.
